True Monster

About

Forgive me for my sins.

Thales has been sacrificed, cursed by a prophecy that many others have also died for. But in the attack that massacres his entire city, he’s the only one to survive—alongside a King whose soul now lives within him, using his body as a vessel to recover.

Left stranded in a new city called Reveler, Thales overhears the Reavers announcing their plans for the future, hoping to garner aid in quelling the aftermath of the attack—and he wants in. Not looking to help them, but to become stronger and learn more about Ardure—the same power that was used to kill him. But things here don’t go accordingly—and the price of this power is something he isn’t ready for.

One life sets a target on his head.

The Reavers are now watching him.

The Guard Force are searching for him.

And unordinary monsters can sense the King’s presence leaking inside of him.

The only hope he has in getting out of this are the three others caught up in his mess: a good-for-nothing bartender, a relapsing serviceman, and a paranoid warrior—although even they may just end up causing as many problems as they help solve.

But besides them, maybe… just maybe, a fourth one, a questionable ally, will help lend a hand.
